| The Love of Vicentica Foundation has provided funds for the installation of playground facilities in Basco, Batanes, Philippines. The playground facilities will be installed at the center of Basco plaza. Hon. Demetrius Paul C. Narag, the mayor of the city of Basco picked the location. He believes that installing these facilities at the Basco plaza is safer for children as it is far from the national roads and near the schools and the police station. The facilities include see-saw, slide, swing, and monkey bars. Media and technology are on the rise in Batanes and many adults are blessed to have all sorts of modern entertainment. But the children, especially the preschoolers who are not allowed to own a cellphone; or to be in front of the television for long hours; or to play video games will be happy to express their simple joys in this playground. |
